Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten)
Purpose of the Right: Individuals have the right to request the erasure of their personal data under certain circumstances. This includes situations where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected, consent is withdrawn, or the data was processed unlawfully.
Request Process: Data subjects can request erasure, and organisations must respond within one month. However, there are exceptions, such as when processing is necessary for legal obligations or public interest.
